Catch Phrase | QAQ

Meaning:

Often seen in online chats and online novels, this combination of letters looks like the emoji of two weeping eyes and a wide open mouth, and therefore is used to mean “very sad.” People often type it at the end of a sentence.

Example:

Gāokǎo zhōngyú jiéshù lenǐ kěyǐ hǎohǎo fàngsōng yīxià le

Gaokao (the national college entrance exams) is finally over. You can give yourself a break now.

Wǒ gǎnjué shùxué shìjuàn tài nán lekǎo de bù hǎoQAQ

I feel the math exam was very challenging and I didn’t do well. (Weepy face)

Don’t think about it now that it’s over. The exam doesn’t decide your future once and for all as you have a long way to go.
